Travelogue 2016

2016 has been pretty good to me in terms of traveling. Even though, I did not document my travels well, here are some of my favorite pictures I clicked.

Jim Corbett National Park

Known for its tigers, this National Park has unfortunately been heavily commercialized.
I think I was not able to explore everything the park and the surrounding areas had to offer. I certainly need to visit this place once more and explore more.

Roopkund

Roopkund trek is a high altitude trek in the Himalayas. The trail is breathtaking and diverse - from thick pine jungle, to lush green meadows, to rocky terrain with hardly any plants or trees. Recommended to anyone looking for quality adventure.

Mcleodganj and Triund

Mcloadganj is a cozy little town in the Himalayas with a large Tibetan population. It is dotted with amazing cafes and people. From Mcloadganj I hiked to a pretty well known and heavily visited hill station called Triund. The hike, though easy, is a pure joy to do solo.

Breakfast before the hike to Triund. Reading Jawaharlal Nehru's "The Discovery of India". Would recommend to anyone who wants an excellent summery of the Indian subcontinent till about the WWII.

Delhi

I have lived in Delhi for my whole life. The city is rich with monuments from different eras. Yet, this was the first time, after school, that I ventured out to explore some of them.
